Going into the fourth year of the Saturday Farmer's and trader's market, the Millyard is proud to offer:

  • friendly people
  • local crafts
  • artwork old and new, photographs
  • fresh fruits and veggies
  • baked goods
  • books about Bear River
  • yard sale items
  • jewellery
  • kid's corner
  • frequent live entertainment
  • freshly brewed coffee
  • food

Our common area building that houses the market is 2500 square feet, plus 1600 sq. feet of deck space.  There is plenty of free, close-by parking.  A portion of the millyard market space  is dedicated to historical displays  of mill-related memorabilia,  as well as photos of our shipping  and shipbuilding era.  Interpretive panels of historical events and activities are also on display and more are being added regularly.

Some of the artifacts on display are rare and not found elsewhere, including the original teller's cage from the Union Bank in Bear River circa 1900, part of the pipeline from the Clarke Bros. pulp and paper mill, dowels, wooden bucksaw frames and river run boots from Lake Jolly lumber camps.
